Suresh Gyan Vihar University
In 2008, Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU) was established and located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Under Act No. 16 of 2008, the univ. was set up by the Govt. of Rajasthan Jaipur, cleared in state Assembly of Rajasthan, giving it the status of 'State Univ.' and is a part of AIU. By UGC, the univ. has been recognized and approved by PCI and AICTE. It has been officially recognized by the NBA. It is an Autonomous University. In 1938, it's parent institution Sahitya Sadawart Samiti was founded.
The university offers several dual degrees, integrated courses, UG Degrees, PG degrees and Doctoral Courses in several specializations. Every year admissions at Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU) to these courses are conducted.
To obtain knowledge in a variety of disciplines the Vision of the university is to provide the opportunity to students and to provide an educational foundation for a range of operational, administrative, and Management Careers.
Located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, Suresh Gyan Vihar Univ. is a non-profit autonomous research Univ. In 2017 by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, the Univ. became the 1st private Univ. An 'A' grade Rank to be awarded in Rajasthan.
Suresh Gyan Vihar is the probable consequence of a great dream and detailed R&D. In the month of Basant the foundation stone of Gyan Vihar was laid down when fresh and bright leaves sprout on trees as nature seems to be reborn, on 19th February 1994 by the great intellectual and thinker Acharya Shri Purushottam Uttam.
Over 150 Tiny Tots were enrolled in the first academic session. Within 1 year the school developed into a middle school and in 1999 the CBSE accorded accreditation for secondary and Senior Secondary Classes.

At the Undergraduate level, the univ. offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Program with several specializations accentuating the area of Engg. and Tech. to the candidates who want to make their career in the field of Engg. The four years is the duration of the program. The inst. also provides an Integrated B.Tech + M.Tech course under similar specializations holding a duration of five years.
- The Admission in B.Tech is done on the basis of rank secured in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). To apply for the B.Tech Course in this college candidate who meets the eligibility criteria are only liable.

Suresh Gyan Vihar Univ. also offers MBA and MCA Programs to the aspiring students who want to seek admission in Buss. Admin. and Computer Application, respectively. The duration period is two years for the MBA Program whereas the MCA program takes 3 years to complete its duration.
A candidate needs to complete Graduation with min. 50% marks for Admission to the MBA Program, in any stream (Arts / Science /Commerce). A candidate needs to hold a BCA / B.Sc degree for admission to the MCA program, with min. 55% marks.

At the Postgraduate level, the univ. offers several courses focusing on the area of Science and Education. The duration period is 2 years for all the offered PG level courses.
Through GVSAT, admission to the PG courses at Suresh Gyan Vihar Univ. is done.
Students who perform exceptionally well in GVSAT for PG Programs, the subsequent interview and having secured 75% or more marks in UG Programs across a spectrum of disciplines will be eligible to be awarded freeship for the PG Programs they have applied in.
On a weighted avg., the score of GVSAT will hold 40% weightage, the marks in the UG program will hold another 50% weightage and the interview will be worth 10%. All the weighted avg. scores will be compiled in a merit list and the top 30 scorers will be awarded the freeship.

For admissions to various B.Tech Courses, GVSAT is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Jaipur. Candidates can give the GVSAT examination which is held once in a year in the month of May online as well as offline mode. Registration of GVSAT is done in both online and offline mode.

A candidate desirous of appearing in the GVSAT Examination should have passed senior secondary school or any examination equivalent to appear in the entrance test. The following are the eligibility criteria for GVSAT 2020 entrance examination.
- Age limit- No prescribed age limit as such. Candidate should be above 17-18 years.
- Citizenship/Residential Criteria- Candidate belonging to any nation are eligible for the test. No particular nationality or residential criteria required.
- Academic Qualification- Either appearing for 10+2 board from a recognized board in the year 2020 or have passed 10+2 with a minimum aggregate stated for a particular course in which the candidate wants to get admission.

GVSAT 2020 Exam Pattern
In the GVSAT entrance test admission to various B.tech courses and scholarships to those courses will depend upon the score. The pattern for the following is given below:
- The exam will be 2 hours duration and will consist of 120 objective type questions.
- Into 4 separate sections paper will be divided namely Chemistry, Physics/Biology, English Proficiency, and Mathematics.
- Candidates who willing to apply for Biotechnology or Agriculture can opt between any one of the papers i.e. Physics and Biology.
- Four different options will be given with each question. 2 marks will be awarded to each correct answer. In case of an un-attempted question, no marks are given.
- For any question attempted wrong there is no negative marking.
