Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University
Established in April 4, 2007, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University well-known as PDPU is a Private University located in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, India by GERMI. It is 8 km from the state capital Gandhinagar, and 23 km from Gujarat's largest city Ahmedabad. It has been promoted by Partnership of Government, Industry & Energy to create a World-Class University in energy education and research.
With World-class wonderful infrastructure, it is one of the influential universities of the country offers quality education. The university has high-quality audiovisual classrooms which make understandable to students and comfortable to grasp everything clearly. PDPU offers a huge range of undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and Research Courses under the various schools. The University has further expanded its programs in the domains of management, engineering, and humanities.
PDPU gets the approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and it is the only univ. in Gujarat granted with graded autonomy by UGC. NAAC accredited PDPU with CGPA of 3.39 out of 4.0 & an ‘A’ grade. PDPU has also been recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research Organization, Govt. Of India.

At undergraduate level, the aspiring candidates who want to pursue their career in the Field of Engineering Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) provides courses like Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and B.Tech (Lateral). The courses offered are for 4-years and 3-years respectively. The no. of seats based upon the nature of specializations as selected by the candidates.
On the basis of rank secured in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main)the Admission in B.tech is done which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria are only answerable to Apply for B.Tech course at the University. PDPU Undergraduate Admission 2020
At undergraduate level, the university offers general courses like Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA Hons), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc Hons) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com Hons). All the four courses of Undergraduate Programmes are offered for a duration period of three years.

PDPU M.Tech Admission 2020
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) offers Engineering Courses such as Master of Technology (M.Tech) in 12 different specializations at postgraduate level. The courses offered under postgraduate programmes are for a duration of two years. For each specialization offered under these PG programs the intake capacity is 18.

PDPU Postgraduate Admission 2020
To reach out to many students the university also focuses in the area of Arts and Business Admin. Courses like PGDPM-x, Master of Business Administration (MBA), PGDGM-x, Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Science (M.Sc) are offered at postgraduate level. The duration of all the courses is two years and the intake capacity for MBA and MA are 60 seats and 20 seats respectively.
Aspirants looking Admission in MBA need to appear in XAT /CAT/ NMAT. The final selection is based on the Entrance Exam score, WAT, GD, PI, work experience and academic performance.
On the basis of marks scored in a written test conducted by the university admission in MA and M.Sc will be done. However, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria.
Executive programs (PGDPM-x and PGDGM-x) admission is based on the performance in Interview round.

PDPU Ph.D Admission 2020
The university offers Ph.D Course in various specializations at Research level. The no. of seats depends upon the nature of specializations.
The aspirants who complete the eligibility criteria and are shortlisted shall be put through a written test conducted by the Univ. i.e. Research Aptitude Test (RAT). The one who pass the written test with 50% will be able to called for a PI which is also conducted by the university.

For getting their students hired in reputed companies PDPU Placement has an excellent track. The PDPU highlights that the institute has witnessed this year are mentioned below:
- To 11 B.Tech students, INR 19.20 LPA is the highest package offered by ONGC.
- At B.Tech level, first campus placement organized in a Middle East country from PDPU has been offered to three students of Petroleum and Chemical by Protiviti, a global consulting firm. INR 16.60 LPA package offered to students and will be posted in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Torrent Power, UOP, Honeywell, Torrent Gas, Jubilant Life sciences, Shell, Adani Power, Byju’s, L&T Technology Services, ExxonMobil, Welspun, Flipkart, Coromandel International, Wipro, Nayara Energy, Milacron India, and many more have recruited students from PDPU.
- For it’s MBA students 87% of placement has been achieved with the participation of major companies like Capital First, Asian Paints, Torrent Power, Avenir, ICICI, Himalaya, Adani, Evosys etc. in GAIL, General Management and L&T, Accenture, Adani Ports, KPMG, Infosys, Chargein, Reliance, Protiviti in E&I Management. The highest CTC offered is INR 18.4 LPA.

Across 100 acres, PDPU has a large campus spanning of abundant green and calm environment. By providing several facilities and amenities to students the university maintains its high reputation all over its campus. These include accommodation, state of the art infrastructure, and recreational facilities. Below-mentioned are some of the said provisions offered by the university:
- Infrastructure: The infrastructure featured advanced and modern Labs, equipped with the latest technology, simulation models. The campus of PDPU has 57 Lecture Halls, 21 Buildings, 43 Laboratories/Workshops and 1,320 units of Laboratory Equipment. With the advanced hardware & software and Wi-fi connectivity IT systems has been equipped
- Library: The university has a well-stocked library with a large collection of 57,550 Books + 13,100 E-books, 42 Daily National & International News-Papers, Periodicals & Magazines + 5500 e-journals, 150 Print Journals/ 5,690 Digital Material (CDs, DVDs), Full Access to Scopus & Web of Science.
- Sports: The inst. Offers recreational facilities and sports to students on the campus. There are also 3 fully equipped gymnasiums.
- Hostel: For both male and female students hostel facilities are available. With a residential capacity of 2,680 students there are a total of 1,042 Hostel Rooms.
- Cafeteria: The univ. has a hygenic and clean cafeteria that provides students with a variety of a delicious and healthy food items. There are four well-furnished and well-maintained dining Halls with the sitting capacity of 2,000 people.
