BA B.Ed. Integrated Course

But, the govt. of India has decided to introduce integrated programs. The starting of this degree has been done due to the intense shortage of teachers that we have been facing for some time. 

So, the dual-degree combination of Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degrees has been created as a part of this step by the Government. One can select desired subjects in this Integrated Course based on personal interests.

Duration: The course duration is 4 years. The program is divided into 4 academic years.

Eligibility: 12th passed in any stream, with English subject. 50% min. agg. marks is also neded (min. marks needed may changes from one institute to another). The holders of D.Ed. qualification may get admission directly in the 2nd academic year of this program.

After accomplishing the above mentioned program, one may go for further studies or appear for the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test). Successfully passing the CTET will help one become a teacher in Schools under the Central Government (example- Kendriya Vidyalayas). Aspirants may even appear for State wise TET and work as a teacher in State Govt. run schools.

B.Sc and B.Ed Integrated Course

Earlier, after completing B.Sc. course, students had to go through B.Ed. Program separately. But thanks to the introduction of dual degree course B.Sc. + B.Ed. integrated course, things have become much simpler!

This is a dual-degree combination of B.Sc and B.Ed courses. One can select desired subjects in this integrated course based on personal interests. Doctorate in Education Degree holders may get direct admission into the second academic year of this integrated program.

Duration: The duration of the B.Sc. + B.Ed.course is 4 years.

Eligibility: 12th Science stream passed (subjects needed depends on the nature of the program), with min. 50% aggregate marks. The qualified students of D.Ed. may get admission directly into the 2nd  academic year of the integrated program.

One may go for further studies or appear for the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test), after accomplishing the above mentioned program. Cracking the CTET will help one become a teacher in Schools under the Central Govt. (example- Kendriya Vidyalayas). One may even come into sight for State wise TET and work as a teacher in State Govt. run schools.

B.EL.ED.

Bachelor of Elementary Education abbreviated as B.El.Ed. It is an elementary Teachers Training Program. This course has been created to train students and make then able to perform to taking up the role of primary school teacher. This program is an amalgamation of theory and practicum courses.

Duration: Course duration is 4 years. Theory part consists of 3 years. 1 year is dedicated towards practicum course.

Eligibility: 12th passed in any stream, with min. 50% aggregate marks in specified subjects (subjects may differ from one institute to another). Min. aggregate marks criteria may change from one institute to another.

After successfully accomplished the above mentioned program, one may go for further studies or appear for the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test). Under the Central govt. cracking the CTET will help one become a teacher in Schools (example- Kendriya Vidyalayas). One may even appear for State wise TET and work as a teacher in State Govt. run schools.

D.El.Ed

D.El.Ed or Diploma in Elementary Education is an elementary teacher training diploma certificate programme. Students are trained to make them capable of taking up the role of an elementary school teacher. The duration of the course is two years. To become eligible for the course, one has to pass the 12th board in any stream with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate marks. This percentage varies from one institute to another.

It is a good substitute to B.El.Ed. course. The course prepares students and makes them able to perform of taking up the role of elementary school teacher.

Duration: The length of the course is 2 years.

Eligibility: 12th passed in any stream, with min. 50% aggregate marks. Criteria of min. marks may change from one institute to another.

After accomplshed the above mentioned program, one may go for more studies or appear for the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test). Successfully qualifying the CTET will help one become a teacher in Schools under the Central Govt. (example- Kendriya Vidyalayas). Student may even appear for State wise TET and work as a teacher in State Government run schools.

B.P.Ed.

B.P.Ed or Bachelor of Physical Education is also known as the BPE course. This is an undergraduate degree course that focuses only on Physical Education. The duration of the course is three years and to become eligible for the course, one has to pass 12th board in any stream with minimum 50 per cent aggregate marks. This percentage varies from one institute to another.

Duration: Course duration is 3 years.

Eligibility: XII passed in any stream, with minimum 50% aggregate marks. The criteria  of minimum marks may differ from one institute to another.

After accomplishing the course, one may initiate working as a Physical education teacher or instructor.

DPE

Diploma in Physical Education abbreviated as DPE. It is an UG Diploma Certificate Program that focuses on Physical Education.

Duration: Course duration is 2 years.

Eligibility: XII passed in any stream, with min. 50% aggregate marks. The criteria of marks min. required may differ from one institute to another.

After accomplishing the course, one may go for further studies or initiate working as a Physical Education Teacher or instructor.

B.Ed

B.Ed or Bachelor of Education is a Post-graduate Course. All graduates can pursue the course after completion of their undergraduate bachelor’s degree courses. This degree is necessary for becoming a teacher at the secondary or higher secondary level. B.Ed course can also be pursued after completion of the postgraduate course. 

But this course has since been subjected to improvement and a new 2 years long version of this program has been introduced. This Degree is needed to become a teacher at secondary and higher secondary level. B.Ed. course can also be pursued after accomplishing PG Course.

Duration: The course is two years long.

Eligibility: To become eligible for the course, one has to have either BA or B.Sc or B.Com Degree with min. 50 % aggregate marks. One needs to pass B.Ed. entrance exam to secure admission in this course.

After successfully finishing the above mentioned program, one may go for further studies or appear for the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test).
