Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University which was earlier known as Agra University is situated in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, and is a State University. It is affiliated with the UGC and was founded in 1927. At present, the university has around 15 Residential Institutes and 200 affiliated colleges spread over four Residential Campuses, namely Chhaleshar campus, Civil Lines campus, Khandari campus, and Paliwal Park campus. The campus of the university has the finest interiors and infrastructures. The University provides the following infrastructural facilities:

Library:

  • Central Library is established in 1927.
  • The library is situated in 3 stories of about 2500 sq. meters.
  • University provides the facility of Central Library in its Paliwal Campus and individual libraries in each department.
  • The Library has a total collection of 1,67,800 books including 14,000 doctoral dissertations, 12,000 periodicals, etc.
  • There is a well-equipped division of Periodical Literature for meeting the information requirements of students and the research scholars.
  • The Central Library provides services to all the Institute and Affiliated Colleges.
  • There are many departmental libraries, which are well equipped with latest books and journals besides the Central Library

Guest House:

  • University has a guest house for officers, teachers and Examiners.
  • The guesthouse is situated at Khandari Campus of the university.

Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar University (DBRAU) offers numerous courses at UG & PG level such as B.Lib.Sc, LL.B, B.P.Ed, BBA, B.Sc, B.Com, BA, BFA, BE and B.Pharm courses. DBRAU also offers M.Lib.Sc, M.Ed, M.Phil, M.Sc, MA, M.Com, M.Stat, MBA, MCA and LL.M along with Diploma & PG Diploma courses.

Application form can be filled online by visiting the official website of DBRAU on payment of INR 1000 (INR 700 for SC/ST) as application fee. The duly filled application form is required to be submitted at the university campus along with desired documents.

  • A valid score in Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) is mandatory to secure admission in BE, BE (Lateral Entry), MBA, MCA (Regular+ Lateral Entry) courses. Final admission is subject to UPSEE counselling.
  • For all the UG Courses, the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their marks in 10+2 except for B.P.Ed, BFA and LL.B programs for which DBRAU conducts a separate entrance test.
  • For all the PG Courses, the candidates have to appear in the university-based entrance test followed by counselling.
  • Admission to M.Phil and Ph.D. is completely based on the marks in an entrance test conducted by the university followed by interview.

DBRAU offers BE and B.Pharm courses in both regular and lateral entry modes in various disciplines. 10+2 or equivalent examination with 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST) with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/Biology is the minimum eligibility criteria.

BE (Lateral Entry) requires B.Sc (PCM) or Diploma in the relevant discipline as the minimum eligibility criteria. Admission to both the courses is based on a valid Score in UPSEE followed by counselling.
