The SET Exam analysis for admission to Law programme at various SLS campuses all over India. The paper was large as expected by the students, it was comparatively easy. And the cut-offs would almost more or less same as previous years.
The SET Exam had five sections as Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge. Total 150 questions, to be attempted in 2 hours 30 minutes, were distributed equally over the five sections. Each question had 4 options and carried one mark each. There was no negative marking for incorrect attempts. Many of the questions, particularly in the General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude and Reasoning Sections, are discussed in the LST material almost in a similar manner.

Analytical Reasoning
This section of SET Exam consisted of various question based on series, odd one out, assertion-reasoning, statement conclusion etc. The level of difficulty of this segment was moderate. There were questions based on Percentage, Time and Work, Averages, Ratio & Proportion. A score of 20-25 can be accepted as good score.
Legal Reasoning
This was related to legal reasoning and were very easy There were also around 10 questions wherein facts were provided but the related legal principles were missing, so can say that it was more of knowledge based. A score in the range of 24-25 could be taken good in SET Exam.
Logical Reasoning
This part comprises question types such as Statement Assumption & Conclusion, Strong and Weak Arguments, drawing conclusions from given statements, Analogy, Syllogisms, Course of Action and Critical Reasoning.. The questions were smooth and this section could have been attempted in about 30-35 minutes. A score of around 22-23 can be considered as beneficial for SET Exam merit.
Reading Comprehension
The passages came from a variety of topics and the length of each was relatively small. Mostly questions were easily answered with direct reference to the passage. The overall level of questions in this segment was easy and an attempt of 24-25 questions can be considered a good attempt.
General Knowledge
This section of SET Exam can be break between Static and Current GK. There were around 5-6 questions from GK and current affairs. The level of difficulty can be ranged as moderate one and some of the current affairs questions were quite tricky and twisted and were complicated for the answer to recall the same. 20-25 score could be taken as good.
Overall, it was an easy paper to boost up the confidence. The cutoff for the WAT-PI round of SET Exam is expected as following:
