Overview

TISS (The Tata Institute of Social Sciences) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. It was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in 1944.TISS was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956 in 1964. TISS offers various Masters degrees like MA in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations (HRM & LR) programme.

TISSNET (Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test) conducts by TISS (The Tata Institute of Social Sciences). According to the recent notification, TISSNET is going to be organized on 19^th January-2019 for which the registration process is going to start 22^nd October-2018. TISSNET is a CBT (Computer Based Test) Exam with the duration of 100 minutes carrying around 100 multiple choice objective based questions segregated into three sections. All Candidates have to match the eligibility criteria planned by the university to appear in the entrance examination.

• TISSNET is conducted for all Masters programmes offered in TISS campuses at Mumbai, Tuljapur, Hyderabad, Guwahati.
• TISS offers MA in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations (HRM & LR) programme, at its Mumbai campus, not MBA.
• There is no negative marking
• After qualify TISS NET candidates are called for Pre-Written Test or/and Personal Interviews.
