PESSAT stands for People Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test conducted by PES University. PESSAT is a national level examination which offers admission to candidates into various programmes. The various graduation and post graduation programmes offered by PES University includes B.Tech, BBA, BBA in Hotel and Event Management, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, MSc in Engineering.
Candidate can secure admission through PESSAT in various streams of B.Tech programmes such as – Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering as well as Mechanical Engineering.
PESSAT entrance will be held at various test centres located all across the country. However, the entrance examination for all other courses will be conducted only at PES University campus in Bangalore. PES University will conduct PESSAT in May month. The test centers for PESSAT will be select at the time of filling the PESSAT Application Form.
The deserving aspirants will be shortlisted for admissions in PES University on the basis of their score in PESSAT as well as their performance in the personal interview round.
The examination paper of PESSAT consists of overall 160 questions divided into two sections. Section 1 comprises questions from subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Section 2 includes questions from English grammar.
There is no negative marking in this examination. The PCM questions will be from class XI and XII syllabus, with 70% and 30% weightage respectively. The result of PESSAT will be declared tentatively in the fourth week of May. The counseling will be held in two rounds on the basis of the candidate’s score.
Candidates need to note that PESSAT would not be applicable for admissions at PESIT South Campus, PESIMSR & PES Central Campus.
