Associate Member of Institution of Engineers [AMIE]

Overview

AMIE Exam an acronym of Associate Member of Institution of Engineers is an university level examination in engineering. AMIE Exam is conducted by Central Government of India to offer admissions to candidates in BE and B.Tech courses. AMIE Exam is recognized by all state governments, Central Govt., AICTE, UPSC.

AMIE Exam is held twice in a year in the months of June and December. There are different engineering branches, wherein candidates can seek admission, including Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, etc. 

The syllabus for AMIE Exam is prepared by the Institution of Engineers (India), the largest multidisciplinary body of engineers in the country. Candidates who wish to appear for AMIE needs to make sure that he or she should qualify in any branch of engineering from a recognized 3-year Polytechnic Diploma or its equivalent.
