About KLE
KLE Institute is regarded as one of the Top Medical Colleges in the Country in the area of Medical Education, healthcare, and research services. One hospital named Dr.Prabhakar Kore Charitable Hospital and 3 health centers and 1 urban health center are the epicenters of undergraduate and postgraduate training. KLE Society established the medical college named Jawaharlal Nehru College at Belgaum in the year 1963 due to the shortage of medical facilities.

Under the excellent mature insight and the guidance of late Dr. B.S. Jirge, the founder dean, the foundation of today’s academic vastness was placed.
During the 1st decade, Dr. M. BasvarajUrs and Dr. B.S. Desai headed this institution in the position of principles.
In the year 1971, Dr. S. G. Desai took control of the institution. His tenure of 1971 & 1985 was remembered due to his achievement of managing the institution with the help of high standards of decorum, discipline as well as academic excellence.
In the year 1985, Dr. H.B. Rajshekhar took over the charge of principal and during this period the college saw dramatic growth in the learning resources and infrastructure. He contributed greatly in setting up KLE hospital as well as the department of medical education, MRC, digital library as well as the partnership with the Illinois, USA. He greatly emphasized student support as well as welfare amenities during his period.

Admission Process of KLE University
KLE University, which is also regarded as KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research provides a plethora of courses that range from certificate programs, post-doctoral programs, fellowships as well as other UG & PG programs in a variety of fields such as medicine, Science and Arts and Nursing, etc.
Eligibility Criteria for all the programs offered by KLE University

KLE University Admission to BDS, MBBS, and BAMS
KLE University invites applications to its BAMS, BDS, and MBBS Courses to the students who are looking for making their career in the medical science field. Students who secure 60% marks physics
Biology and Chemistry in 10+2 are only eligible to get admission to these courses.
BAMS Course though requires the candidates to secure just 50% marks to get enrolment to it.
Students who are looking for enrolment in BDS and MBBS, need to sit in a common entrance test i.e. NEET which is organized by CBSE. The MBBS Course duration is 4.5 years & 1 year is dedicated for the internship.
The BDS course is of 4 years with 1 year for an internship.
Admission to BAMS Courses is based on the merit. Candidates require only 50% & above in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry in their 10+2. Once they secure the required marks, they are required to write an entrance test that is organized by KLE University.

Students who want to enroll in Pharm. D and B. Pharm Courses must have taken as well as passed the subjects such as Chemistry and Physics taken as compulsory subjects along with other subjects namely microbiology/zoology/biotechnology/electronics/computer science/botany/mathematics with 40% aggregate marks in their 10+2. Students who have secured 40% aggregate scores in PCB in 10+2 can enroll in BPT Program the duration of which is four years.
Those want to get admission into the nursing program of KLE University can enroll in B. Sc program of the university which has a duration of 4 years. The ones who have obtained 45% marks in PCB, as well as English subjects in their intermediate, are eligible to get enrolled in this program.

KLE University PG Admission
KLE University invites applications for its PG programs in the medical science field. Admissions to PG courses are done on the basis of entrance exam score of the university’s entrance exam that is called KLEU-PGAIET.
Numerous Medical Courses are provided in the university such as Master of Surgery & Doctor of Medicine for a duration of three years. Candidates are required to possess a degree of BDS with a 50% score in the entrance test. The duration of the exam is three years.

Admit Card
Students will get their admit card on their email ids that were registered with the university. However, admit cards can also be downloaded from the official website of KLE University. Candidates are first required to log in the university’s admission portal & take a print out of their admit cards.
The aspirants are required to paste their colored& self-attested passport size photo on their admit cards & carry them to the exam centre at the examination date.
