Lovely Professional University proffers varied certificate, diploma and degree programmes for the students likely to enrol in the university. Minimum Eligibility Criteria for UG & PG Courses
Candidates seeking admission in the UG Programmes of Lovely Professional University should possess a certificate of Senior Secondary School or they need to clear an equivalent examination through a recognized board. Also the candidates are required to score at least 50% marks in qualifying exam. Aspirants for PG programs of Lovely Professional University possess a certificate of Senior Secondary School or they are required to clear equivalent examination through the recognized board. The candidates should also possess a 3 year bachelor degree and scored minimum 60 % marks in the exam.
Admission Process
Lovely Professional University organizes its own entrance exam such as LPUPET AND LPUNEST for its distinct programmes. Also, it considers the scores of some national level exams. Enrolment to other courses is based on the students’ merit. Once a short listing process of the students done in the above mentioned way, they need to appear for personal interview or group discussion rounds /counselling as per their chosen course.

Online remotely proctored from Home (recommended by the university, based on available resources) or Test centre-based options.

Lovely Professional University strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. So, the University extends Scholarship Scheme which is an initiative by the University to cultivate the talent of students that may be hidden due to financial constraints. Scholarship can be availed in all the Programmes of the University, ranging from Diploma to Ph.D. In the last seven years, University has offered scholarships worth 500+ Crores.

Scholarship for a specific Programme depends on Performance in LPUNEST.

Note:
1. If candidate qualifies JRF(UGC/CSIR)/NET(LS)/SPM/GATE/GPAT with-in 1.5 years of registration in the Ph.D. Programme then he/she is eligible for scholarship on that basis from the immediate next term.
2. Scholarship including contingency for Ph.D. Programme is applicable maximum of upto 4 Years from the date of admission.
3. 20% scholarship is applicable for all female candidates & LPU alumni (male/female), only when candidate is not getting any other scholarship.
4. Apart from that following fee needs to be paid:
a. Examination Fee is applicable as per actuals
b. CIF are applicable in case the services are used only; at subsidised rates.
c. There are no Lab / experimentation charges; if conducted separately for any candidate then it is as per actuals.
5. In case of any confusion, decision of Head, Centre for Research Degree Programmes will be considered final.

5. Programmes Considered
The applications are accepted in all the programmes except programmes with Tie-up or Work integrated programmes or any other programme defined by the university.
6. Selection & Disbursement
• Evaluated by the Admission Verification Team.
• Results communicated within 10-15 working days.
• Scholarship credited to student’s fee account within 10 working days of confirmation by Admission Verification Team.

Annexure-A: Operational Guidelines for Toppers of Boards & HEIs 1. Who Can Apply
The applicant whose name is among top rank holders in the merit list published by the concerned board or higher education institute and applicant is fulfilling criteria defined by the university will be eligible to apply for the benefits under this scholarship
i. School Education Boards: Top 20 Rank holders of every recognized school board operating in India (State, Central and Open Board provided a minimum 1000 students should have appeared in the board exam).
ii. Higher Education Institutes: Toppers and/or Gold Medallist of higher education institutions with NAAC A++ accreditation, or institute with Top 50 rank in the 2025 NIRF rankings (Overall or University Ranking categories only to be considered)
iii. Year of Passing Out: The applicant who are passing out in the current year/batch that is 2026 will be eligible for apply for the benefits (Please note that students pass out of 2025, or earlier year/ batch will not be eligible for the application).
2. Categorization of Ranking
The following is the categorization for eligibility for application consideration for the benefit. The applicant’s rank must be in any one of the following mentioned categories ranks: a. Category-A: Where the Board or University awards one Rank to one Student only.
i. School Education Boards: The top 20 rank holders of that board will be considered. ii. Higher Education Institutes: Topper or Gold Medallist of the university will be considered.
b. Category-B: Where the Board or University awards the same rank to multiple students: i. B1 - School Education Boards: When the number of students are less than or equal to 20 in the merit list then all students will be considered.
ii. B2 - School Education Boards: When the number of students are more than 20 in the merit list then students scoring at least 97% marks and to a maximum of 200 students from the list.
iii. B3 - School Education Boards: When number of students are more than 20 in the merit list and no student have scored more than 97% marks, then equivalent cut-off percentage will be computed taking highest scored percentage as base (i.e., equivalent to 100%) and further maximum of 200 students from the list to be considered.
iv. B4 – Higher Education Institutes: All students having Rank 1 either defined as Topper(s) and/or Gold Medallist will be considered.
c. Category-C: Open school board only, additionally the students must have scored at least 90% marks, and above conditions will be applicable.
3. Merit list is an important part for evaluation and determination of eligibility for award of benefits. The merit list received from a board or higher education institute or published on their website will be considered for verification/ authentication to process the application further.
Merit List-A: Where Combined Merit List is available or prepared or published. i. School Education Boards: Where combined merit list is prepared for all streams (Medical, Non-Medical, Commerce, Humanities, Vocational etc.) by the school education board.
ii. Higher Education Institutes: Where combined merit list is prepared by the higher education institute combined without considering a category (General, OBC, SC or ST or subject wise or any other criteria).
b. Merit List-B: Where Separate merit is available or prepared or published. i. School Education Boards: Where the board declares separate merit lists for 12th class i.e., separately for each stream, in that case, Top 20 students/ Rank holders from each merit list will be considered.
ii. Higher Education Institutes: Where higher education institute declare separate merit list category wise or based on any other criteria. Only topper or rank 1 holder or Gold Medallist will be considered for the benefits.
b. The merit list is an important document required for processing of application. The concerned board or higher education institute can share the merit list with the university by post or email. If a merit list is not shared by post or an email, then a merit list published in a gazette or on a website may be considered. It is further to be noted that merit list shared by the applicant will not be considered, However, applicants can request the concerned board to share the merit list directly with the financial aid team of university.
4. Condition for continuation of benefits
The student shall maintain a CGPA of 8.00 (or 80% marks in marks-based programmes) every year. In case the CGPA falls below the prescribed limit, this scholarship will be withdrawn, and normal scholarship will be applicable in successive years as per the qualifying marks in eligibility qualification or any other criteria as normally applicable. The scholarship (full programme fee waiver and residential or Transportation) will be continued again on attaining required CGPA conditions in the subsequent year. Result/ CGPA declared till the last date of payment of fee (without late fee) will be considered for deciding continuation of scholarship for the next term(s).

The hustle and bustle for placement at LPU begins in sixth semester for four year programs and in the fifth semester for three year programs. One has to enrol for the placement classes if one wants to avail campus recruitment drives. For each discipline there is a definitive allocation of seats. For example CSE students are categorized for product-based companies (120 seats at least) and service-based companies. The students who opt for placement drives have to pay placement fees.. This includes fees for PEP classes and interview preparation classes like Aptitude, analytical skills, verbal ability, Soft skills enhancement and Interviews, coding and other core subjects classes. The students then appear for placements interviews in front of companies. Companies start coming in as soon as from sixth semester and by the end of the seventh semester most of the big companies are through with their interviews.
