About College
Formerly known as Puttur Education Society, Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology is one of the premier engineering institutions of Karnataka that was established by the Vivekanda Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Putter in 2001. It is affiliated to Visvesavaarya Technical University, Belgaum and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
The lush green campus of the college is spread over an area of 48 acres in Nehru Nagar, Dakshina Kannada District, Puttur, Karnataka. It has also earned nstitutional membership of The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).

how is the placement service in this college ?

This is the one of the very few negative things. The placement department struggles to get huge companies to the college, In fact they will be satisfied if some 4-5 companies visit the college. Rest all pool campus. Also, if a guy is placed no chance for any other companies to attend further, which is the foolish decision from the placement department.

CET, I was in the same town. So I had to opt this college .No such serious interviews to join the college. The ranking must be very good in order to get seats here.
