About College

Thanthai Periyar Government Institute of Technology (TPGIT) bagayam, Vellore was established in july 1990 and is one of the six Government Engineering colleges which are fully governed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) of the Government of Tamil Nadu.

• The college is affiliated to anna university
• The institute is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
• TPGIT is located in an atmosphere at Bagayam, Vellore which is 130 km west of Chennai and 220 km east of Bangalore. It is connected to both these cities by buses that leave from the heart of the town
• The college is well known for its technical excellence, with state-of-art facilities, consistent record of high performance in University examinations with excellent ranking and enterprising students

• Boys hostel has 62 rooms and can accommodate 330 students
• Girls hostel has 54 rooms and accommodation strength of 240 students
