About College

To meet the growing demands of manpower in the emerging fields of engineering and technology, Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology was established in year of 1983 as Delhi Institute of Technology. 
•    It was granted administrative autonomy in 1986 and registered as a society in the name of "Delhi Institute of Technology” (DIT) on 12 June 1987.
•    Affiliated to University of Delhi for all its programs of UG, PG and Ph.D., the institute began its Ph.D. programs in 1989.
•    The Institute was formally inducted in its own new Campus in Dwarka, New Delhi, on 23 January 1997 by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, then Prime Minister of India and in the year 1997 renamed as “Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology” (NSIT).
•    Earlier students were admitted through Common Entrance Exam but the present admissions are through Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-MAIN).
•    NSIT, Delhi was granted the status of university on 10 June 2013 and campus area is spread over 145 acres

Festivals at the Campus :

MOKSHA: An inter-college cultural show that is with students of Delhi's colleges and other states. 

RESONANZ: An intra-college festival that invigorates each spring where students are immersed in a variety of activities such as poetry, debates, fine arts, and dramatics and extempore. 

NATYARANG: To showcase talents of students in dramatics through series of one-act stage shows and street plays are organized in this. 

INNOVISION: This is National level inter-college technical festival of attracting wide participation from students from all over India and overseas. 

ANNUAL SPORTS AND ATHLETICS MEET: A series of competitions for indoor and outdoor games is conducted and culminates in the annual Sports meet each year.

    What is the Admission Procedure of this college?

      For both Delhi and Outside Delhi Regions, the candidate should have appeared in the JEE (Main)-2014 and placed in the merit/rank list prepared by the CBSE, New Delhi based on the score in JEE (Main)-2014 and normalized score in Class 12 or other qualifying examination (60% and 40% weightage respectively).
