Marthandam College of Engineering and Technology (MACET) was established in the year 2005-06. It is a part of Marthandam Educational & Charitable Trust (MECT). This institution takes bright young people and shapes them in to technically competent and socially committed technocrats and administrators by imparting quality education. Library- The library has 20000 volumes of books covering all disciplines of engineering and science. It subscribes a many national and international journals and magazines. It is fully computerized with internet facility to access 360 international e-journals and e-books.
Hostel- Institute has separate hostel facility for both boys and girls with all basic amenities inside the campus.
Sports- The college has excellent playground and provides facilities for games like Volley ball, Cricket, Football, Carom, Shuttle and Ball badminton, Chess, Fencing etc.

- J.Arun Paul Got Second Place in National level Fencing championship conducted by fencing association of India in 2007
- Second place in South Zone meet shotput (under 20 grade) in 2007
- MACET got First Place in State level Fencing Championship conducted by State Fencing Association in 2008
- Second Place in Team State Level Fencing Championship Conducted by State Fencing Association 2008
