Madurai Institute of Engineering and Technology is run by SRT Educational and Charitable Trust. The college aims at producing world class engineers so that they become an asset to the modern industries. The college was inaugurated in the year 2009. Right from its inception, the college has set high standards in the field of education. The college has done a lot of experimenting with the teaching process and has come up with an international process for the same. Students now receive world class education in the college and the college has produced some of the best engineers till date.

In order to do so, one has to be aware of the concepts, and this is possible only if one reads a lot of books. The college has more than 12,500 books in the library, and this is what makes it great. There are many research papers as well as journals kept in the library. Studying research papers makes it clear for the students to understand a lot of concepts in an easier manner.
Laboratories and their modernity: There are modern labs in the college. Labs catering to various educational fields are there in the college. Some of the labs present in the college are computer lab, communication lab, DSP lab, power simulation lab, CAD/ CAM labs, mechatronics lab, chemistry labs, VLSI labs, etc. Thus, there are a large number of laboratories in the college, and this is what makes it unique.
