About College

Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology (Formerly known as Golden Valley Institute of Technology – GVIT) was eastablished by Dr. T Thimmaiah, Ph. D (London), IAS (Retired) in 1986 under the efforts of Golden Valley Educational Trust. Its main purpose is to impart quality technical education.

  • It is recognized by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi
  • It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU)

Research:

  • District Bio-Fuel Information & Demonstration – It seeks to promote and bring the project forward in relation with the conduction of various awareness & training programs to Grama Panchayats, School & Colleges etc.
  • It is currently manufacturing Pongamia oil – For domestic lighting purpose, De - oiled cake – Fertilizer for agriculture, Bio Diesel – Alternate Fuel for Motor vehicles, Bio soap – Bathing and other purposes.

      I passed out my engg. frm Dr. T Thimmaiah Institute of Technology, Kolar The college is located in kolar with good talent, both in terms of faculty and students. the course curriculum is well structured and everything goes well till the the time of placements....well my college has no placement training at all...im not sure if we have a placement dept. irony people spend time and money to end up without a job.....
