About College

Army Institute of Technology, Pune was established in 1994. The first batch of BE students graduated in 1998 with flying colors. The succeeding batches continue to excel in all fields-be it sports, culture, or academics and this tradition of excellence promises to remain unfazed with every new batch coming to the Institution.

• The motto of the college is “Onward to Glory”
• A vision of the college is “To strive for excellence in providing the right environment for the development of physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual quotients with a view to producing total quality engineers, preparing them to face challenges of the modern information society”
• College obtained accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in May 2007
• College is affiliated with the University of Pune

Collaborations -

Infosys Technologies Ltd. -This MoU is between Infosys Technologies Ltd and Army Institute of Technology, Pune for the purpose of enriching the technical education process and to jointly work for enhancing the quality of education imparted to students of all the engineering disciplines in the field of Information Technology (IT).

Festivals -

• Aakriti -The annual AIT cultural fest is called Aakriti, and is both eagerly awaited and hotly contested. Aakriti is further subdivided into three sections viz. Cultural, Sports, and Tech-Aakriti.
• Tech-Aakriti - Organized by engineering and Tech Board, it is celebrated separately from the main-stream Aakriti but the final scorings for the Aakriti trophy is done collectively for all the three pillars of this grand college fest. It was first started in 2009.
• Solutions -It is the inter-college Tech-fest of AIT. One of the biggest in pune it is also known to be the one in which almost all the disciplines of engineering are venerated through inter-college competitions.
