About College
Agni College of Technology (ACT), Chennai formerly known as Vel's Srinivasa College of Engineering and Technology was established in 2001 under Sri Balaji Charitable and Educational Trust. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institute and accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Their mission of the college is to be the premier management and technology institution, shaping a better future for mankind by developing effective and socially responsible individuals. Their aim is to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to inspire and prepare students to be enthusiastic lifelong learners for productive participation in the local and global community and extends further to empower students through quality education combining contemporary knowledge and traditional wisdom. The college is situated in Thalambur, 20 kms away from Adyar and 3 kms from Navalur, off the Old Mahabalipuram Road (IT Highway) and is well connected by road.
