AJK College of Arts and Science (AJKCAS), was established in 2006 by AJK Educational & Charitable Trust.

  • The institution is run under aegis of the trust and is affiliated to the Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.
  • It provides a high degree of personalized education and supports the advancement and dissemination of knowledge through teaching, research and scholarly activities.
  • College is recognized by UGC New Delhi under UGC Act 1956 to receive Central Government assistance.

Placements: The College has an active placement cell, taking initiative for placing its students in reputed companies with attractive packages. Total 689 offer letters from the following companies & Hotels for the year 2013-14.

Seminars & Conferences:

  • National Seminar on Integrated Marketing Strategy in Emerging Economies: Two Day National Seminar on ‘Integrated Marketing Strategy in Emerging Economies’ conducted by the Department of Commerce AJKCAS on 25th and 26th Sept 2014 Chief Guest Shri D. Nandakumar President The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Coimbatore.
  • International, national and state level workshops and seminars to bring the latest developments in various fields
  • Guest lectures by eminent personalities in the respective fields
  • Self learning through a well stocked library with the latest books, journals and magazines.
  • State Level Work Shop on "Tradition and Trends" 17th to 19th January 2013: The Tradition and Trends is a workshop Conducted by AJK College of Arts and Science to improve the traditional knowledge of the Students.

Events:

  • WEBER – 2014: It is two day National Level technical symposium conducted on 20th and 21st Oct 2014
  • NCGACT 2014: It is National Level Seminar on Next GEN - EX Applications of Computer and Technology conducted on 17th and 18th Oct 2014.
  • Inauguration of the Visual Communication Department: Inauguration of the Visual Communication Dept on 23 June 2014 by Shri Siddique Malayalam Film Director
  • FIFA World Cup Road Show 2014: This Road Show was conducted by Ajk College.
  • Graduation Day 2014: Graduation Day at was celebrated in the college on 22 May 2014. The Chief Guest was Smt Sheila Dikshit Governor of Kerala. 
  • AJK Barbeque 2014: AJK Barbeque Food Festival at Town Hall Palakkad on 6th April 2014 conducted by the Dept of Hotel Management and Catering Ajkcas

Extra-Curricular Activities:

  • AJK Youth Meet -2011
  • AJK YOUTH MEET - 2011 was conducted on 1st August 2011, at 9a.m in AJK Educational Institutions campus. Dr.A.P.J.ABDUL KALAM, Former President of India inaugurated the Youth Meet.
  • Biggest Cake of Tamil Nadu-2011: The cake was prepared by a team of 20 Students and the Faculty members, the concept was to bring awareness among the public on effect of Global Warming.
  • Masilla Navakkarai Project-2012

  • Coimbatore’s Pride – Tallest Cake in the world
  • The Health Hazard of Porotta 2013

Facilities:

  • Information Technology Learning and Research Center: The computer lab of the college is one of the well-equipped centers with latest configuration and advanced technology with Server Side Operating Systems–Windows 2003 server Work Station, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional. 
  • Learning Resource Center: A well-stocked & internet enabled library, replete with more innumerable volumes of books, journals & magazines is available for the students.
  • Language Lab: A-state-of-the-art language lab is there to impact training to the student of the college to improve their oral & written communication skills in English.
