Vivekananda Law College, Puttur was established in the year 1988-89 with an aim to meet the demands of the students who seek legal education in South EastIndia especially in the areas of Dakshina, Kannada District, Kodagu and other places sharing the boundaries with the districts of Karnataka and Kasaragod area of Kerala. The college aspires at offering high standard education by offering all the facilities essential for the students to complete their studies in a methodical way. The college adopted Nyayen Dharyathe Lokah as its motto, whichmeans,“The structure of the world is kept in balance by justice”. The founders also believe that no professional, education, or otherwise will be valuable by the name of the conveying instruction in various branches of wisdom is not paid attention for shaping of character in a proper way.
