About College

The present University College of Law, Bangalore University is also known as Government Law College. It was established on 1st July 1948. The college is one of the oldest in the country and it has a strong historical background. The institute was established in a rented building and later on transferred in the campus of Bangalore University on 19th June 1976. The college has been offering quality and valuable education in graduate and postgraduate levels.

 

  • The University College of Law has partnership with University of Paris X-Nanterre
  • The intake capacity for undergraduate course is 100.
  • The college introduced Master Degree Course in the year 1960-61.
  • The intake capacity for postgraduate course is 10.
  • The college offers 5 types of LL.M course and two students in each course.
  • Graduated students of the college can easily get in other national as well as international law institutes for their further studies.
  • Passed out postgraduate students of the college are placed in many national as well as international legal organizations at high profile namely corporate advisors, judges, academicians bureaucrats and leading lawyers.
  • The college introduced 3 Year LL.B Course initially and later on converted to 5 Year LL.B. Course.
  • 5 Year LL.B. Course was begun by the University College of Law since the year 1986-87.
  • The college has most talented and dedicated faculty members. They are quite enough to give quality and valuable education to its students.

LL.B and LL.M courses by the University College of Law are excellent in the country. The college provides all necessary infrastructures and facilities so that students can pursue their education in a calm manner.   • Legal aid and literacy program for LL.B students.
  • Court and Jail visit.
