About College

Kristu Jayanti College, founded in 1999, is run by "BODHI NIKETAN TRUST", formed by the members of St. Joseph Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). The college is affiliated with Bangalore University and is accredited with the highest grade 'A' by NAAC. The college is recognized by UGC under the category 2(f) & 12(B). The college was accorded autonomous status from 2013 by the University Grants Commission, Government of Karnataka & Bangalore University. In India Today - Nielsen survey 2014, the college is ranked 1^st best-emerging commerce college and 4^th best-emerging science college in India ranked 8^th among the top art college in Bangalore.

Labs:-

Computer Labs:

The institution has five computer labs housing more than 500 computers with advanced configuration distributed across the buildings. Two labs are configured as thin-client labs and other labs have to stand alone machines but connected through a network. All the labs are interconnected through LAN networks and highly configured L3 switches are used for intelligent network management. The institution has two ISPs (Sify and Primus) with 6Mbps bandwidth to provide a seamless internet facility to all students. Internet is available in all the systems and the campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

Bioscience Lab:

The department of Biosciences has continually been striving for excellence in teaching and research. It imparts integrated teaching in major areas of Life sciences like Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology.

Sports and Games:-

• The Sports department coordinates the events which help students to perform well in all sports and game events at University, State, and National Level.
• The College Teams participate in all inter-collegiate tournaments conducted by various colleges and Universities like, " SPIEL Tournament", "CRISPO", Bangalore University North and South Zone Tournament, UVCE ETC.
