About College
NITTE University, Mangalore was established in 2008. NITTE was recognized as Deemed-to-be University in June 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (Department of Higher Education). In 2009, The University is recognized by UGC. It has achieved accreditation of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and has got ‘A’ category by MHRD, Government of India. It is a fruit of commitment and dream of seven people who were always concern about higher study and community development. Under the guidance and leadership of well-known justice K.S Hegde, NITTE Education Trust was born. The NITTE Trust came into existence on 30 august, 1979. After almost three decades, the trust has been recognized as one of the finest institution which attracts students, foreigners, faculties and guardians. The main ideas of the trust were offering best education, train manpower and health care.The University is located at Mangalore and 350 km from Bangalore and 800 km from Mumbai.

Research: The Institute of dental college is well-known research Centre of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences for P.G programs. 53 research papers in national, 17 international journals and 3 books are published by the department
Extra Curricular Activities: Beside education N.U is concerned about the overall development of the students. They organize many sports events and cultural Activities. It helps to recreate and rejoice students.

4 auditorium cum lecture halls which can accommodate 110 people. |

Every PG departments have different seminar rooms with good audio-visual facilities. Intake capacity of the seminar hall is 250 persons. |

The University has 4 museums i.e. Histology, Anatomy, Dental Pathology and Oral Pathology. |

Scholarship: NITTE has started a Scholarship Scheme for Meritorious Students who are seeking admission to Degree courses in Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Nursing, Bio-Medical Science and Journalism & Mass Communication. They are benefited with fee concession under this scheme.

MBA admission eligibility criteria is candidate should have Bachelor's Degree in any discipline obtained through the (10+2)+3 system from any of the recognised Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India with a minimum of 50% (for SC, ST 45%) aggregate marks.
