About College
Central University of Karnataka (CUK) is renowned as one of the premier institutes across south India. It was set up in the year 2009 at Gulbarga, Karnataka under the Act of the Parliament (No. 3 of 2009).It has managed to attract the students for various part of the nation to learn and become a part of a developing nation
- The university had started its academic activities from the month of August in the year 2009.
- The Central University of the Karnataka was one among the all 16 new universities that were set up by the Government of India in the same year. These were establishes under the UGC XI Plan Period.
- The motto was to resolve the issue of ‘equity and access’ in the peripheral areas and to stimulate and generate options of higher education for the students.
- The territorial jurisdiction of the university is all over the state of Karnataka
- The campus is sprawling over an area of 621 acres

Library |
Library is the hub of all information related to academic and non-academic activities. The university is well equipped with several books and journals for the students and the faculties. It has more than 10,706 books, 55 Journals, 4,212 e-Journals, 15 Back-Volumes etc. |

Hostel |
The Central University of Karnataka offers hostel facility both for boys and girls. The boys hostel is situated at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Regional Centre, Gulbarga. This hostel is the transit accommodation for the students. Own hostel of the university is under construction. The current temporary hostel of the university has 60 single rooms for the students. It also has mess premise inside it. |

The computer lab of the university has computers and internet connectivity. It has 1 gbps of high speed internet facility. It has also associated with other globally acclaimed publishers like J-STOR, Economic and Political Weekly (EPW),Taylor and ,Francis, Cambridge University etc. |

Central University of karnataka has a campus covering an area of 621 acres of land. The library currently has over 1557 books for the students and faculty to refer. Computer labs are there for the use of students which are connected to the internet. There are good teaching faculty.
