About College
Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University (CSTUV), Bhilai was established in 2005 by State Government of Chhattisgarh. Aim of CSTUV is to be one of the world's leading creative and Innovative technical universities recognized locally, nationally and internationally for excellence in teaching, research and public service.
- The foundation stone of the University was laid by the Ex-Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh
- According to a 2008 news report, the Bhilai Steel Plant, one of the largest steel plants of the country, agreed to donate over 250 acres of land to the Chhattisgarh government for the establishment of the University, along with INR500 million for related infrastructure development
- CSTUV affiliates a substantial number of Engineering and Polytechnics colleges in Chhattisgarh: over 60 Engineering colleges and 30 Polytechnics colleges are affiliated

- Swami Vivekanand Memorial Youth Festival-It is celebrated on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand.During the festival, various group events like Football, Cricket, Hand ball, Volley ball, Group dances & Group Songs were conducted.
- Third Foundation Day Celebration-It was celebrated by organizing symposium on “Continuing Education for Technical Manpower Development”. It was held on 30th April 2008.

Basic admission criteria for 1) B.E - 10+2 or Equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Biotechnology, Language and anyother subject with a minimum of 45% marks. 2) M.E - Bachelors degree in Science or Engineering discipline obtained through the 10+2+4 system or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 55% or equivalent from recognized University. Note - A Relaxation of 5% aggregate is there for SC, ST candidates for above courses.
