Sankara College of Science and Commerce, Coimbatore is a part of Sankara Educational Institutions managed by Coimbatore Educational & Cultural Foundation founded by Sri T.K. Pattabhiraman in August 1982. Its aim is to impart quality education to the younger generation. It seeks to inculcate traditional values in Cultural, Educational and Technical areas. It is situated at Saravanampatti, 13 kilometers from the Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

• Youth RED CROSS – A part of this organization is actively working in the college
• National Service Scheme (NSS) – The students of the college participate and organize community service programs with the involvement of NSS present in the college.
• RED Ribbon – A part of this organization works in the college to promote awareness about HIV among students.
• Fine Arts Club – It organizes inter & intra collegiate events to promote students with diverse talents in singing, dancing, drama etc.
• SANKARA Students Club – It is a student body that manages programs based on Marketing Skills, Event Management, Personality Management, Talent Showcase etc.

• SANKARA COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND COMMERCE was awarded as one of the ‘Best College in Coimbatore’ by Department of Social Work, Bharathiar University & ‘CBM SARO’ for considering and admitting the impaired students.
