About College

Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, New Delhi, Delhi is named after Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa, the ninth Sikh Guru. The college is a constituent college of University of Delhi. The co-educational institute was established by Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee. The objective was to infuse ideals of service and self sacrifice among the youth. The institute is inspired from the life of the Guru, who laid down his life in the city to support the belief of freedom and conscience. The college began with modest means. It was established in just four rooms in the school located in Dev Nagar. Initially just 49 students and 6 teachers were present. The college shifted to present premises in the year 1973.
