SheikhulAlam College of Education, Kupwara, the only professional college in the belt was established in the year 2002. The college caters to the needs of educated youth, both male and female of thirteen educational zones of the district and catchment area that extends to Karnah, Keran, Machil and Jumgand. The college being an interstate college has more than 1000 students joined in and who have completed their education.
