The PSGR Krishnammal College for Women was founded by Sri. G. R. Govindarajulu and Smt. G. Chandrakanthi. The then Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, Sri. Bakthavatchalam inaugurated the college with an objective to meet the higher education needs of women. An autonomous institute, the college has received ISO 9001:2008 certification. The vision of the college is to offer sound education for molding the future generation of women. The college adheres to the principles of truth and values.

2. Wide Range of Activities – The College has a counseling cell wherein students can discuss their personal or financial problems with coaches who guides them to right solution.
