About College

PSG College of Arts and Science (PSGCAS), Coimbatore was founded by PSG and Sons Charities Trust. The college is an aided institution of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The college became autonomous in the year 1978. It is one of the first five arts and science colleges in the state to be granted autonomous status. In October 2004, University Grants Commission identified the college as the one with Potential for Excellence.

NAAC accredited the college at the five star level. In the year 2001, the college was certified ISO 9001: 1994. Since 2003, the college received ISO 9001: 2000 certification. Reputed for its experienced and dedicated faculty, the college makes sure that academic programs are updated regularly. The college offers 39 undergraduate courses and 24 postgraduate programs. Many of these courses are unique. In addition, the college offers M.Phil. And Ph.D. programs in 19 faculties.
