About College

Bishop Cotton Womens Christian Law College, Bangalore was started as a Junior College in 1985 and it was upgraded as a first grade college in 1987. In 2002 it was upgraded to law college. It is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University. It is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college is managed by the Board of Management of Karnataka Central Diocese of Church of South India. It got recognized by UGC under section 2f in the year 1995 and 12b in 2000. The college offers value based education to women to helps them in better character building, academic excellence to help face the competitive world with high spirit. The motto of the college is 'Nec Dextrorsum, Nec Sinistrorsum'. These Latin words mean 'neither to the right, nor to the left and come from a Latin translation from the old Testament of the Bible.

Moot Court Competition:  Moot courts are artificial courts where the student lawyers are given the set of facts of a particular case which involves the dispute to be solved by employing the knowledge of law

LEX FIESTA: The annual law fest which includes activities like Inter collegiate Moot Court competitions, Legal Quiz contests are conducted

SPIRO - The annual cultural fest which includes activities like elocution, painting, poster making, sketching, mehendi, hair braiding, skit, mad ads, dance, creative writing, collage, face painting, music (Indian & Western) etc.

Student Awards

Best Law Cottonian - The most prestigious award given annually to an overall student who excels in academics, takes active part in co curricular activities and extra curricular activities.
