Bhuwaneshwari Dayal College (B.D. College), a constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, is situated in the capital city of Bihar. It is about 1.5 Km. west of Patna Railway Station.The college was established in 1970. Initially the college was started as an Evening College to impart education to employed persons who are willing to study further

Activities:

  • National Service Scheme- The college is carrying on NSS activities to provide academic and moral counselling to students. This cell has achieved a lot in the field of social awareness drive against AIDS, HIV, Cleanliness as well as maintaining and ecological balance
  • National Cadet Corps- The aim is to develop leadership and character qualities, mould discipline and nurture social integration and cohesion through multi-faceted programmes conducted in a military environment

Cells:

  • Internal Quality Assurance Cell- The Internal Quality Assurance Cell meets often to review the existing courses, design new curriculum in view of the changing educational scenario and discuss the extent of implementation of the annual plan
  • Grievance Redressal Cell- There is a regular, well established and fair procedure for redressing grievances regarding academic matters, health services, library and other central services
  • Women Empowerment Cell- “I would say India would become a powerful nation only if it secures a woman who would walk through the length and breadth of the country even at midnight without fear.
