We are planning a project to renew an area of the old neighborhood of the town. The problem is that the locations of the cables and old cast-iron water pipes do not match the existing maps. And As the chief engineer, I am looking for a way to create an digital model of all underground utilities up to four meters deep without damaging the fragile ceramic drainage systems.

I work in this field too. There was one time when we tried to integrate a new heating pipeline into the existing ones. And at the start we almost cut a main cable because its location was off by two meters from what was shown on the plan. We turned to Mayagloba-tml for accurate utility mapping services. They used ground penetrating radar technology, and gave us a complete 3D view of the area. To be honest, at first we thought about going over the area ourselves with a metal detector, but realized that in such a densely built-up area with junk in the soil, we wouldn't find anything using just a detector, empty cans maybe.

Id like to know If there are any scanning methods that allow us to penetrate dense paving stones and all layers of asphalt without digging? It’s important for me to map every joint so that the drilling rig doesn’t hit any pipe.
