About College

Founded in 1917 by the great educationist and philanthropist, Rai Kedar Nath, Ramjas College is one of the oldest colleges of Delhi. Beginning from the humble precincts of Darya Ganj in Old Delhi, the College today boasts of a spacious campus, state-of-the-art infrastructure and an esteemed faculty of scholars trained at leading universities in India and abroad.

Festivals:

There are recent festivals which are held annually at Ramjas college-

  • Mukhatib 14- The Street Play festival of Ramjas College, Mukhatib 2014 will be a tribute to Safdar Hashmi, the man considered to be the father of Nukkad Natak. Safdar Hashmi was a playwright, actor, director, lyricist, and theorist, chiefly associated with street theatre in India, and is still considered an important voice in political theatre in India.
  • Focus’14- The 2ndAnnual Film and Photography Festival of Ramjas college Focus ’14, was held over a span of two days and stirred a great response. Centered on the theme Confluence, both days of the fest saw an exhibition in collaboration with the Photography Society of Lahore.
