About College

Yogi Vemana University College of Engineering, Proddatur was established in 2008-09 and renamed as YSR Engineering College of Yogi Vemana University in the year 2010. Technical education institution with Govt. support at Proddatur as a constituent college to Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa to cater to the needs and dreams of rural students of Rayalaseema in particular and Andhra Pradesh in general.

• Prodattur is a commercial centre with proximity to many cement industries and upcoming industries like Brahmani Steels, etc. Development in technical education can be accelerated only with the involvement of industry.
• The College presently offers six conventional disciplines of Computer Science, Civil, Electronics & Communications, Information Technology, Mechanical and Electrical & Electronics Engineering leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering. A new course  "Metallurgical Engineering " is introduced.

Hostels for Men & Women: There are two separate hostels for Men & Women. Both Men & Women Hostels are having sophisticated dining Halls. Four Hostels are built in modern Architecture with all required facilities. These hostels were named after the tributaries of Penna River.
