About College

Sinhgad College of Engineering (SCOE), Pune was established in 1996. The institute is affiliated with the University of Pune and managed by the Sinhgad Technical Education Society (STES). The college takes its name from the nearby Maratha fort.Sinhgad College of Engineering is a technical education institute in the city of Vadgaon (Budruk), Pune, India. 

Institutional highlights :

• The institute has also been awarded an "A" Grade by The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State, Mumbai.

• Accredited twice by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and AICTE, New Delhi

• Membership of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)

• Selected by MHRD, Government of India for TEQIP-II project implementation

Alumni association:

• Alumni Annual meet is organized every year in the month of Jan/Feb.
• Feedbacks from Alumni are taken during the Annual Meet
• Analysis is performed based on the points mentioned in the feedback form
• Syllabus usefulness, industry orientation, laboratory experiments etc. are some of the points considered in the analysis
• Alumni’s are invited as Judge for technical competitions held in the college
• They are also invited for Guest lectures and Seminars

•  In recent years, companies such as Microsoft, NVidia, Persistent Systems, Accenture, Symantec, TCS, IBM India, Cognizant, Infosys, SunGuard, Larsen & Toubro Infotech, General Motors, TCTS, CMC Ltd, Lafarge, Daimler Chrysler, Shapoorji Pallonji, Cyronics, and Kirloskar Brothers have been some of the companies that have actively recruited undergraduates.
• For the past three years maximum salary reached to 8 lacs/annum, with the average being around 2.5 lacs/annum.

Curricular Activities:-

• Techtonic 2014:- Techtonic 2014 was centrally launched for the first time at 8 engineering institutes and 6 MCA institutes of Sinhgad Technical Education Society under the banner of Sinhgad Karandak. Techtonic 2014 was conducted during 4th to 6^th Feb 2014. In these three days 3000 participants participated.
  The cash prizes amounting to Rs. 3, 20,000 were just to honor and appreciated the talent of young budding engineers.
• Spoken Tutorial Project at SCOE:- Sinhgad College of Engineering is a focused on the overall growth of students. In the same view, a step was taken in association with IIT, Bombay through the Spoken Tutorial Project. 
  The Spoken Tutorial Project is about teaching and learning a particular FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) like Linux, Scilab, LaTeX, PHP & MySQL, Java, C/C++, and Library Office etc. via an easy Video tool - Spoken Tutorial.
