Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology (SMIT), Hooghly was started in 2003. It is one of the 16 engineering colleges under Techno India Group, the largest educational organization in Eastern India. It seeks to provide quality technical education with hands on experience in live projects, workshops, seminars etc. It is built in an area of more than 10 acres of land.
