About College

Malout Institute of Management and Information Technology was established in the year 1998. The college offers Bachelor Programme in various fields of Engineering and Master in Business Administration

• The college is s under the guidance of a Board of Governors, headed by the Technical Education Minister, government of Punjab
• It is sprawling over 25 acres (100,000 m2) of land which was designed by the Chief Architecture of Punjab
• MIMIT is the third of its kind in India to offer certified courses recognized by Sun Microsystems
• The institute is among top five Engineering Institutes in Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar
• The Institute has signed MOU’s with CISCO Inc.USA, which provides four semester programme by online testing, student-performance tracking, and quality  Assurance  Plan  in the  field  of  networking  with  the  latest  CISCO  Routers and Switches
• The college is located in Malout , Punjab which is 375km away from Delhi, 170km from  Ludhiana, 265 from Ambala and 270km from Chandigarh

• Cultural Activities- The institute organizes various cultural activities like Music, Dance, Theatre, Fine Arts and Literary. IT ALSO arranges an Intra Institute Talent Search Competition every year to find out talented students in various cultural events
• Sports- The college organizes various inter-college competitions and won prizes. Girls Basketball Team has reached in the Final of PTU Inter College Basketball Tournament in 3rd consecutive year and won the Silver Medal in PTU Inter College Basketball Tournament-2014. Institute’s Athletics Team has won many Medals in PTU Inter College Athletic Meet-2013-14
• NSS- NSS of the college has 600 volunteers and participates in various activities like Green drive by tree plantation, Blood donation Camp, AIDS awareness Camp, Environment Enrichment and Conservation, Cleanliness of villages, living Areas etc.
