Global Institute of Management and Emerging Technologies is government approved engineering and Management College that was established in 2008. Aided by Guru Hat Rai Society, GIMET is affiliated to Punjab Technical University and offers AICTE approved courses.   • Maruti Udyog conducts one day seminar for B.Tech & MBA students-The students were acquainted with Chinese & Japanese Cultures
  • Seminar on E-Foundry-It was organized under the National Knowledge Network Mission of Govt. of India being undertaken by IIT, Bombay.
  • Professors presented papers at International Conference at Mauritius-The papers highlighted hazards of ‘E-waste management-Issues & challenges.
  • Guest Lecture by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar (Scientist at CSIR)-The interaction was based on Embedded systems & its applications.
  • National Level workshop cum conference on the topic Competitiveness in New Business World-Issues & Challenges-it was a three day event and was attended by more than 300 students from various institutes all over India.
  • Address by IBM official from USA-The discussion was based on Basics of Marketing and Finance.
