Bapatla Engineering College was established in 1981. The college was initially affiliated to Andhra University and later to Nagarjuna University from 1984 onwards. The College is a little away Bapatla, a town, about 75 Km. south of Vijayawada on Chennai-Vijayawada rail route Bapatla Engineering College (Autonomous) is one of the seven educational Institutions founded and run by Bapatla Education Society
