About College

Banki College (Autonomous), Banki was established in 1961, is one of the prime centers of learning of Orissa. The college has played a leading and innovative role in furthering the cause of higher education in the state. Right from the trying but pioneering early days of 1960s this tiny fledgling of a college ushered in to take up the mighty task of education against all possible odds and has been in the forefront of educational advance since then.

  • The college is located at a very beautiful place which is around 50 kms from cuttack and around 65 kms form bhubhneshwar
  • The aim of the college is the holistic development of the learners persobality making the individuals interlectually excellent morally upright and social commited

Extracurricular activities:

The college takes pride in conducting extracurricular activities. For this pupose there are different cells in the college.

Cells:

  • UGC cell- To monitor various UGC sponsored schemes operating in the college
  • SC/ST cell- To safeguard the students of SC/ST and other minorities
  • Equal Opportunity Center- To provide the people of SC/ST with the equal oppurtunities
  • Women Grievance Cell- The Cell will deal with the cases / complaints of sexual harassment and any other type of harassment of the female students, teaching and non-teaching women staff of the college
  • ICT cell- This is the cell which handles all the networking of the college

National Service Scheme:

The aim of NSS is to promote a sense of social responsibility discipline dignity of labour and sense of service to people among the students

National Cadet Corps:

The aim of the NCC is to prepare the cadets for the certificate ‘B’ and ‘C’ examination

Youth Red Cross Society:

It is the youth branch with the fundamentals of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence

Boys Hostel:

  • There are 2 boys hostels
  • J.B. Hostel can accommodate 50 students
  • L.N Modi  hostel can accommodate 150 students

Girls hostel:

  • There are 2 girls hostels
  • Rani Suka Dei Chhatri Nivas has150 Seats for girls student
  • Maa Charchika Chhatri Nivas has 50 Seats for girls student
