For practice programmes, Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College and Research Centre expanded its area of operations by setting up a medical hospital in the year 2009 with around 800 number of beds, 12 departments covering areas from general surgery to dermatology, 3 rural health training center, an urban health center, 4 operation theaters, a central lab and a blood bank.

Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College and Research Centre has set-up an institutional ethics committee that governs the experimentation conducted by human beings by practicing doctors, and the committee runs under the guidance of the statutory authority.

The hospital extension of the College was awarded the ‘Best multi-specialty hospital of the year award’ by the Indus Foundation in the year 2014 and a number of faculties were awarded Lifetime Achievement Award by the same foundation.
