About College

Dr. Ambedkar College of Arts and Commerce, Chandrapur was established in 1972 under Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial Society, Chandrapur. It is a Grant-in-aid college and affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU). It is recognised by UGC under section 2(f) and 12(b) of UGC Act 1956 and accredited with ‘C++’ Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The vision and mission of the college is to provide quality higher education to the socially and economically disadvantaged students of backward classes belonging to the rural areas through dissemination of knowledge in the branches of Arts, Science and Commerce and make their all-round personality development. The objective of the college is imparting higher education to the economically weaker socially discriminated and less privileged sections of the society.

Classrooms

The college has 15 spacious classrooms equipped with all the modern teaching aids.

Computer lab

The college has computer lab with 56 PC’s which are well equipped with latest softwares and configurations.

Library

The college has a library which spread over an area of 2000 sq. mtrs. with seating capacity of 50 students. It has a collection 950 reference and 24506 volume of books. It subscribes to 50 periodicals and 16 newspapers..

Hostel

Available for girls with accommodation capacity of 30 male students and 60 female students.
