About College

Abasaheb Marathe Arts & New Commerce, Science College history starts with the establishment of  Rayat Shikshan Sanstha in 1919 which was passed from various academic development and leads to the formation of the college in the year 1994 by Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil  social activist and then chairman of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha. The college offers  undergraduates programs in the field of arts, science and commerce.

Some of the facts of the college are :

  • In 2004, the college was  accredited by NAAC with B grade with the objectives of higher education
  • The college is also accredited by U.G.C and received grants under the scheme of younger college development grant
  • The college aims at providing higher education to poor, girls, down-trodden living in Rajapur and nearby villages
  • The college motive is to inculcate the moral value, civic responsibility and interest to grab the opportunity after graduation like competitive examination
  •  The college objective is to develop an educational centre to the students who had to go earlier to Ratnagiri. Kolhapur to the higher education
  • The college is offering a Certificate Course in Panchayat Raj Administration for career development of the students
  • The college organizes N.S.S. activity, elocution, rangoli, competitions and other activities are also run to develop the personality of the student
  • The college celebrates anniversaries of great men and  women and different programmes were arranged for allround development of the student

  • Earn and Learn Schemes -  The college facilitate Earn and Learn Scheme to give hand on experience for taking jobs in future to achieve better work efficiency  and to help the poor and needy students. The college gives chance to student to work in the library, office, laboratory, garden for one to two hours on the selected days , students are paid Rs. 15/- per hour
  • Parent  Teacher Scheme – Under this scheme parents can know the progress of their student in the college, his/her attendance, behavior, personal development, correlation progress etc.
