Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) was established in 1993. AAFT is one of the best leading institute in India and in the world also imparting education in the field of films, television, print, radio, multimedia and communication since more than twenty two years. Academy was also approved as an international level training center by the 125 year old City & Guilds of the United Kingdom in the year 2002

  • Vision of the academy is “To excellence in film and television education and training so that its alumni, through their work, may make it a better world one day than it is today”
  • Academy was the first of its kind to receive ISO 9001:2000 certification in the South Asian region
  • AAFT has subsequently established a notable reputation internationally, with students from as many as 55 countries continuing to enroll for a chance to join the 4000 alumni that the Academy boasts of in its promotional literature

Success stories of AAFT alumni -

  • Pyaar ka Punchnama, a romantic comedy film that was released by Viacom 18 was directed by noted AAFT alumni, director Luv Ranjan.
  • The story of movie Once Upon a Time in Mumbai was composed by alumni Rajat Arora. He had also written the story for film Taxi no. 9211, dialogue for Bluff master etc.
  • Anushree Dutt Kalmakar was the operating cameraperson and for adding special effects in movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham
  • Piyush Ghosh was the operating cameraman for movies like Black, Fanaa, Bunty aur Babli, Yuva etc.
