Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) was established in 2002 under Bansilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trust.VIIT is a self financed Institution affiliated to University of pune.Institute was established to impart quality technical education for developing useful manpower for industry

• Gandharva -Every year since 2002, VIIT has hosted Gandharva, an annual social event. Gandharva includes various events like sports days, a Funfair, quizzes, and competitions.
• Robocon -It is Asia's largest robotics competition. There is a student organized team from VIIT which annually participates, sponsored by the college.
• Firodaya and Purushottam karandak -Team "Avishkar" is a cultural commune of the college which participates in the prestigious acting and cultural competitions held in Pune.
