About College
Government Law College Madurai (Tamil Nadu), was established by Government of India to meet the long felt needs of the southern districts of Tamil Nadu. GLC is one of the six government law colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. Like the rest of the law colleges in the state, it is administered by Tamil Nadu’s Department of legal studies. The college is one of the premier institutions imparting legal Education in the state. The students of Government law college Madurai are provided an appropriate atmosphere of higher judiciary around best for their judiciary approach. The blue print of the college was prepared by the then Director of legal studies, Prof. A. Palaniswamy.

Government Law College Affiliated with the University of Bombay. Oldest law school in Asia & Well qualified and dedicated faculty. Offer Scholarship to meritious students. Tha library is having multiple number of biiks which help to serve number of student at a time. GLC Infrastructure is very good and valuable for all students. Auditorium is classic so I like it very much. Faculties at my time are best and helpful. Mrs. Parimala Rao, The Principal at my time was encourages us everytime in study. Also learning Indian Contract Act from Prof. Pithawala was knowledgeable experience for me. Placement services are also commendable. I remeber Tata Sons visting our college and offfering freshers a Good package Many other reputed law firms visits GLC. Our College Offer many Scholarship. College do not offer hostel of its own however provides accommodation in different hostels and as paying guests in South Mumbai. Well-stocked library with reading room facility houses over 42000 books.
