The Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture, set up in 2004 was originally established as an Educational Trust. It was in the year 2010 that the Institute was recognized formally and established as a university by the Punjab State Legislature. The Chitkara School of Planning and Architecture holds equal proximity to the areas of Mohali, Ambala, Chandigarh and Panchkula.

      Basic eligibilities are - - 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board or University with Mathematics as a subject of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks. - 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central or State Governments with 50% aggregate marks. - International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination. - Qualify Test NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) .
