About College

Andhra Vidyalaya Education Society, one of Hyderabad’s oldest and pioneer educational society started Andhra Vidyalaya College of Arts, Science and Commerce, popularly known as A. V. College of Arts, Science and Commerce in the year 1968. The institute was established to mmet the regions growing needs of higher education. The college received its affiliationfrom Osmania University. 

  • The college is centrally located with spacious campus, elaborate infrastructure,benevolent management,beautiful landscape, dedicated student and staff, the educational establishmentis a well-known centre for various co-curricular, curricular and extracurricular activities.

Extracurricular: When it comes to extracurricular activities, A V College of Arts, Science and Commerce has been at its best. Be it NCC or NSS or Sports this college has received excellent results in these fields.
National Cadet Corps (NCC)-

  • Senior Division NCC Company has been allotted to this college during the year 1971.
  • NCC Cadets of A.V.College have excelled in every activity and competition held at every level i.e. Battalion, Group, Directorate (State), National and at International Events.

National Service Scheme(NSS)
The overall objective of the National Service Scheme is Service to the community, while studying, in an education institution.

Computer Center-

  • The College provides computer lab which is equipped with 5 Servers of 512 MB RAM,160 GB HDD, Processor with P-IV 2 GHz.
  • The lab is also equipped with leased line Internet facility.
  • In order to fulfill the requirements of the students 80 separate computer systems have been provided which are connected with 3 LaserJet Printers.

P G Library – The library subscribes to more than 120 Journals & periodicals popular newspapers for the benefit of the students and faculty. All the in-house activities like issue return, searching OPAC and technical works like cataloguing, classification and barcode of the books in the library is also fully automated by using DELPLUS 2.0 Library software and ALARM library software.

•    The Library & Information Centre is a spacious are which is established in an independent building with an area of 4,500 Sqft.
•    It has a reading capacity of 100 students
•    It is having the collection of more than 23800 volumes

Placement Cell- The Counseling & Placement Centre of this educational establishment provides career related and personal support to its students. The main idea is to make the students self-sufficient so that they can effectively cope with life at college and also during their careers.
