Uttaranchal University, Dehradun is one of the leading educational hubs of India. Vision of the University is to develop a Centre of Excellence for engineering, management, professional and vocational education as well as research at par with national and international standards. University also offers Doctoral programs. Mission of the University is Serve the country with academically and technically sound human resource.
Uttaranchal University was coming in existence as university in 2013. Journey of Uttaranchal University was started in 2006 as Law Colleges of Dehradun. Uttaranchal University is also known of Law College of Dehradun. In 2006, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology established. In 2013, Uttaranchal University got the status of University by an Act of state legislative assembly passed by the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. University is located at Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

- Merit Scholarship: Uttaranchal University offers up to 30% scholarship on 1st year tuition fee to meritorious students on the basis on performance in qualifying examination.

- Uttarakhand State Domicile Scholarship: Uttaranchal University offers additional scholarship of 26% on 1st year tuition fee to all Uttarakhand state domicile candidates. To avail this scholarship candidates, have to present valid Domicile certificate (Original) of Uttarakhand State at the time of admission/counseling. (Aadhar card is not applicable).
- Sushila Devi Scholarship for Girls: University offers additional special scholarship for female candidates of 10% of tuition fee. Which is applicable on throughout the course duration for all courses.
- Scholarship to the Wards of Defense Personnel: University provide 5% additional scholarship throughout the course duration for all courses to son/daughter of defense personnel.
- Scholarship to the Alumni: University provide 5% additional scholarship throughout the course duration for all courses to the Alumni for complete course.
Note: A candidate can avail any one scholarship from above scholarships (Sushila Devi Scholarship for Girls/Scholarship to the wards of Defense Personnel/Scholarship to the Alumni).

Eligibility criteria for B.Tech program in Uttaranchal University Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Minimum 50% marks & 45% in case of SC/ST category. Admission is based on merit computed on the basis of marks secured in qualifying examination and rank/merit in JEE-Main.
